2025 PEF Annual Conference and General Assembly
March 5-6, 2025, at the Vispas Hotel in Chisinau (Republic of Moldova)
On March 5th, the morning plenary session kicked off the annual Conference of the Pentecostal European Fellowship with a dynamic time of worship, led by the local Elim church team, and the keynote message of Chairman Marek Kaminski on the conference theme, « The Church of Tomorrow: Challenges, Concerns, Hopes », with the participation of some 120 delegates from 25 countries, including Turkey, Israel and Armenia.
The second session featured four tracks offered by PEF’s branches, respectively PEM (missions), PYE (youth), EPTA (theology/Bible schools) and another specialized workshop, providing updates, interaction, mutual enrichment, and networking.
During the afternoon, the General Assembly of PEF members took place, with encouraging reports and plans as well as the election of the new Presidium for the 2025-2028 term, resulting in the re-election of Marek Kaminski as the Chairman, Friedhelm Holthuis as the Vice-Chairman, Dirk Glaser as Treasurer and the election of Ishan Özbek as Secretary, as well as the ratification of 12 regional representatives with Nelu Filip (Romania) as a new member.
Chairman Kaminski presented Certificates of Appreciation to Bishop Victor Pavlovski (Moldova) and to Pastor Moise Ardelean (Romania) for their years of service as members of the Presidium. Moreover, three Pentecostal movements were officially inducted as new members of the PEF, namely: Church of God Poland, Church of God Bulgaria and “Consulta Evangelica” Italy.
The evening’s plenary session was marked by an insightful message on “The challenge of keeping the church awake”, brought by Pastor Öystein Gjerme (Norway), followed by a precious time of prayer for one another.
On the second day, two plenary sessions included Bishop Victor Pavlovski’s inspiring message retracing the historical journey of the Pentecostal work in Moldova, from early and difficult days to a glorious revival resulting in a strong movement today, and the lessons learned, as well as a most informative and inspiring presentation by Rev. Jim Memory (United Kingdom) on “Europe Today and Tomorrow”, followed by an interactive panel on the conference theme, with Bishop Leonid Biruk (Belarus) as moderator.
The afternoon’s session was entirely dedicated to prayer for Europe, led by Chairman Kaminski, region by region, for PEF branches and resource ministries and the Presidium, followed by Communion as an expression our unity in Christ. It was truly Pentecostal prayer in one accord, indeed an unforgettable highlight of the entire conference!
During the closing plenary session, Pastor Yann Antoine (France) brought an encouraging message on the hope we can have for the Church of Tomorrow, based on the promise made by Jesus Christ (cf. Matthew 16.18), the Architect, Owner and Head of the Church! Because of Him, our future is bright!
Many thanks go to Victor Pavlovski, Host of the Conference, with his local team of volunteers for their wonderful work of preparation and warm hospitality as we look forward to next year’s Conference in Lille (France) on March 4-6, Lord willing.
